Sailing Yacht Elysium: Hybrid Sailing with Super B Lithium Batteries

The 56ft sailing yacht Elysium has been converted into a hybrid sailing vessel by STOK Electric, a family-run company specializing in sustainable and comfortable sailing solutions. STOK Electric ensures highly reliable hybrid energy systems by collaborating with leading suppliers and experts in yacht building and electrical systems.

STOK Electric selected Super B Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries as the primary power source for this project. Unlike conventional Li-ion batteries, LiFePO4 technology offers high energy density and enhanced safety, as these batteries can be extinguished with seawater—a crucial advantage for ocean-going vessels.

The Elysium now features a 350V Super B lithium battery system with a total capacity of 70 kWh, providing a powerful and efficient hybrid energy solution for sustainable sailing.
